Who are we?

OUR SCHOOL HISTORY

A World-Class Education in the Heart of Naivasha

Zuri Schools was co-founded in 2014 by Mrs. Diane McGonnell, Mrs. Louise Kilongosi and Mr. Richard McGonnell with a vision to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and diverse learning environment. What began as a small kindergarten with a child-centered approach has grown into a leading educational institution in Naivasha.

Over the years, the school expanded its offerings to include lower primary, upper primary, and Junior Secondary programs, with the introduction of the British Curriculum in 2019 at our annex campus.

From its inception, Zuri Schools has been committed to providing high academic standards and a holistic education, fostering both intellectual and personal growth. Our affordable fees ensure that students from diverse backgrounds can experience world-class education in a supportive, non-urban environment.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2024 and continue to evolve, catering to students from both Naivasha and beyond. We remain committed to our mission of providing a high-quality, accessible education that fosters academic achievement, personal development, and a sense of global citizenship.

OUR MILESTONES

Since 2014

2014 School establishment:

Zuri School was co-founded in 2014 by Mrs. Diane McGonnell, Mr. Richard McGonnell, and Mrs. Louise Kilongosi as a preschool dedicated to nurturing young minds. As the school community grew, we expanded to a full Primary section and adopted the 8-4-4 system, providing high-quality, affordable education that cultivates academic excellence, creativity, and character.

2019 School Expansion:

As our CBC Curriculum grew in popularity, parents were finding it increasingly difficult to secure a school that offered the same nurturing and academically rigorous environment. In response to this demand, we relocated to a new campus, providing ample space for our expanding students from Kindergarten through full Primary. With continued parent support, we opened our annex Senior School in 2022, letting learners continue in a familiar, high-quality, and supportive environment.

2019, Introduction of Cambridge Curriculum:

We introduced the Cambridge Curriculum to provide our learners with access to a truly affordable program that is internationally recognized, academically rigorous, and designed to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. With this curriculum, we prepare every child not only to thrive locally but also to pursue limitless opportunities on the global stage.

2023, JSS Annex School

With the graduation of our first class of grade 6 in 2022, they advanced directly to our Junior Secondary School (JSS) in 2023 making it to our annex jss school. A significant milestone in our journey as we continue to provide a seamless and enriching educational experience for our students.

2024,10th Year Anniversary

In 2024, we proudly marked our 10th anniversary a decade of shaping young minds and building a vibrant community of learning. This milestone reaffirmed our enduring commitment to nurturing an environment where every student can grow, excel, and thrive both academically and personally. We are deeply grateful to the families, staff, and students who have been part of this journey, and we look ahead with pride and purpose as we continue preparing the next generation for a brighter future

2024, Unveiling for the new logo

With growth comes change, and with advanced growth we felt it was time for a new look, so we refreshed our logo. It celebrates who we are today, honors the journey that shaped us, and reflects our deep appreciation for the world around us. More than a design, it’s a symbol of our commitment to growth, learning, and the future.
